The Voice of the Turtle, Episode 61: Introducing Michael Fulmer, Ace

It was a rather ho-hum week for the Detroit Tigers, but this week's episode of The Voice of the Turtle is anything but! Rob and HookSlide return to discuss the last two series of Tigers baseball, answer some trivia questions, and preview the week ahead. This week's big question was one on the minds of many Tigers fans, if not on the tips of their tongues: are the Tigers giving away too many winnable games? Our answer might surprise you! Along the way, your fearless cohosts break down the various parts of the roster. From J.D. Martinez's return to Justin Wilson's ascension to the closer role, the Tigers look primed for a good run or two.

Best of all, Michael Fulmer looks to be turning into a true ace. His streak of quality starts was broken this week, but a seven-inning, four-run outing that many other starters would take a blister for was Fulmer's worst of the season. Will he still be in that position by season's end? There's a guy named Justin Verlander who should have something to say about that.

That's not all, though! Rob and HookSlide also discuss the new bullpen hierarchy, where Anibal Sanchez and Francisco Rodriguez fit on the roster, and Jordan Zimmermann's new role in the starting rotation. Finally, we handle a heaping batch of listener questions, and deliver an important public service announcement to close out the show!

Topics in this week's episode include:
